Eastspring Investments has announced the appointment of Vis Nayar as Chief Investment Officer, effective 3 June 2024.
Based in Singapore, he will report to Eastspring’s Chief Executive Officer Bill Maldonado and will join the Eastspring Executive Management Committee (EMC). Vis, a seasoned investment leader, has successfully led global and regional investment franchises. He joins Eastspring from HSBC Asset Management where he spent the past 25 years, most recently as Global Chief Investment Officer for Equities overseeing the global active equity business. Prior to that, he was the European and UK Chief Investment Officer and before that, the Global Head for Quantitative Equity Research and Head of Systematic Equities.

Vis holds an MSc in Finance from the London Business School and a BSc in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London and he is a CFA Charterholder.
