Mastercard, has tied with exclusively with GX Bank Berhad to bring the first unlimited cashback debit card to the public, following a successful pilot rolled out in January this year.
Available both as a virtual and physical card, the GX Card it said offers cardholders 1% cashback on online and offline card transactions towards everyday purchases including groceries, petrol, dining, shopping as well as bill payments. Cardholders can earn unlimited cashback, which gets credited to their GX Account by the end of the following day. Cardholders also earn the same cashback benefits on overseas and foreign currency transactions, with no additional fees or markups. Other benefits include cash withdrawal fees waiver across more than 10,000 MEPS ATMs nationwide and 1.5x GrabRewards for purchases at Jaya Grocer supermarkets across the country.
GXBank anticipates a positive response to the unique benefits of the GX Card. “With the launch of the GXBank app and the GX Card pilot rollout, we saw great success with thousands of users actively using the card in their daily transactions,” said Pei Si Lai, Chief Executive Officer, GXBank.
