Samchem Turns Around Swiftly, Declares Fourth Dividend

Samchem Holdings announced its fourth quarter results with revenue increasing 13% to RM308.3 million, compared to RM273.3 million in the previous year’s corresponding quarter (“4Q2022”). The increase in revenue is primarily attributed to commendable volume growth in most of its key markets namely Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. During the quarter, net profit was RM13.1 million, reflecting a significant improvement from net loss of RM4.1 million recorded in 4Q2022.

For the full year, the Group achieved cumulative revenue of RM1.2 billion while year-to- date net profit was RM35.4 million. With this set of results, Samchem also declared a fourth interim dividend of 0.8 sen per ordinary share. The total dividend declared for FY2023 was RM13.1 million which translates into payout of 42% for the year.
