Malaysia Steel Works (KL) Bhd announces the appointment of Datuk Syed Mohamed Bin Syed Ibrahim as Independent and Non-Executive Chairman of the Board, effective 1 March 2024.
Datuk Syed Mohamed brings over 40 years of experience leading prominent organizations across various industries, driving sustainable growth both globally and in Malaysia. His expertise spans banking, real estate development, technology, and business strategy. Notably, he currently serves as the President and Chief Executive of Johor Corporation and Chairman of JLand Group.
His proven track record of driving profitability, fostering strategic partnerships, and spearheading transformational corporate enterprises positions him as an ideal leader to guide Masteel in its next phase of growth the group said in a statement.
