ITMax Secures RM77.1 Million CCTV Contract From A Johor Municipality

ITMAX System Berhad via its subsidiary, Southmax Sdn Bhd has secured a letter of award worth RM77.1 million from Kulai Municipal Council to design, install, and maintain a smart command centre, closed-circuit camera system with artificial intelligence features as well as smart traffic light systems for a duration of 15 years on a monthly subscription basic.

Managing director/chief executive officer William Tan Wei Lun said, “We are pleased to have been awarded the fourth smart city contract within Johor. This contract holds significant importance for us, as it solidifies our position as a key smart city solution provider for the Greater Johor Bahru, which is an important economic hub for the nation.”

“Our capabilities in maintaining a high accuracy of our tailor-made AI features for various city councils have played a crucial role in addressing the city council’s pain points and enhancing the efficiency of city management. Thus, our team will continue to develop more AI features to maximise the positive impact of smart city solutions and further enhance the well-being of our society,” he added.
