PM Wants Rafizi Explain About PADU To Cabinet

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has called on Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli to explain about the centralised data collection application PADU to the cabinet next week.

This comes after Premier of Sarawak Tan Sri Abang Johari had called on the government to suspend PADU until further clarifications are made about the massive data being collected by the ministry. Anwar said the premier conveyed his concerns when he met Abang Jo and has immediately instructed the Economic Minister to give more clarification on the system.

Earlier today during a townhall session with the communities in Selangor, Rafizi said he was aware on the Sarawak Chief Minister’s concerns and said that he will the Premier and explain more about the data collection.

As of today 7 million Malaysians have updated their personal information on the central database out of 21 million estimated adults in the country.
