Mall Goes RE With Largest Solar Panel Installation

Solarvest Holdings has been appointed the go to solar panel partners for 1 Utama Shopping Centre and install Malaysia’s largest on-site solar photovoltaic panels and building-integrated photovoltaic panels covering around 273,300 sq ft of the mall’s rooftop and carpark to generate more than 5,700 kWp of renewable energy.

The company said it will undertake the engineering, procurement, construction, and commission works for the installation of the Solar Power System. At the current project stage, it has conducted studies at the site to assess the optimum clean electricity generation capacity to suit 1 Utama’s energy needs in a cost-effective manner. The installation is nearing completion.

Executive Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Solarvest, Mr. Davis Chong Chun Shiong said, “We are seeing a growing interest in clean energy adoption, particularly among the commercial and industrial (“C&I”) players.
