Insken Upping Its Training To 10,000 Entrepreneurs

The National Institute of Entrepreneurship (Insken) aims to train 10,000 entrepreneurs this year, up from 9,700 trained last year nationwide, said Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Ewon Benedick.

Last year’s trained entrepreneurs performed exceptionally well, with some experiencing up to a 75 per cent increase in sales after completing the institute’s coaching programme.

“This shows that Insken is an important agency for entrepreneurial guidance in the country, and the ministry will keep backing it to offer top support for our entrepreneurs,” he said.

Several entrepreneurship programmes are scheduled this year to assist 10,000 entrepreneurs, as research has indicated that micro and small entrepreneurs are predominantly engaged in the service sector.

Insken is an agency under the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (Kuskop) which offers entrepreneurial capacity development initiatives via training programmes and guidance, with a list of training available on their website.
