MCMC Files Police Report Against Three Bloggers

Malaysia Communication and Multimedia Commission an agency under the Ministry of Communication has filed a police report against three bloggers, namely Chegubard, Salim Iskandar, Papagomo (all handle names) for defamatory postings about MCMC officers on social media.

The regulatory body in a statement today said it has taken action against the three individuals by making an official police report after they uploaded postings on TikTok, YouTube and Facebook allegedly depicting MCMC officers to be politically influenced and abuse of power. Apparently, MCMC said the bloggers had also remarked that the MCMC officer are fed-up with the current government and cant wait for a change.

MCMC has the authority to take legal action over any parties or individuals who publish content that can cause disharmony in the country especially on topics related to Race, Royalty and Religion.
