Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd has been awarded a contract worth RM252.26 million from WCT Holdings Berhad bringing its total construction orderbook to RM1.2 billion.
The group said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Fajarbaru Builder Sdn Bhd had accepted a letter of award dated from WCT Construction Sdn Bhd, an indirect subsidiary which involves construction works for main building works (Section 1 : Phase 1) of an upcoming two-phase development project. This project comprises of 2 blocks of serviced apartments spread across 8 towers, totaling 2,048 residential units and 69 commercial units located in Johor Bahru, Johor Darul. The contract will commence on 6 May 2024 and is scheduled to be completed on 5 May 2027.
Section 2 : Phase 2 of the of the same project is subject to confirmation of award by WCTC and the Group expects a decision within the next 12 months.
Fajarbaru said it is currently tendering for construction projects with an approximate value of RM 5 billion across private and government sectors. T
