Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo has assured Malaysia that the dual wholesale model which replaced the Single Wholesale model for the 5G rollout will be honoured after reports reveled that mobile operators were dissatisfied with the way the government owned entity Digital Nasional Berhad had operated since signing the Share Sale Aggreement.
The Minister who takes over the project from Communication Minister Fahmi Fadzil, said the newly appointed board members which includes all 5 mobile network operators will be looking into the matter and the Dual network model will be implemented.
Gobind also said DNB has build 5G infrastructure to cover 80.5% coverage of populated areas nationwide reaching more than 11.2 million users.
