Cessna Aircraft Operated By Layang Layang Academy Crashes

The Civil Aviation Authority has confirmed the crash of light aircraft Cessna 172N Skyhawk near Felda Gunung Besout, Sungkai, Perak operated by Layang Layang Academy.

The 7am flight departed Ipoh airport with 2 passengers and had its last transmission when it flew over Slim River at 9:35 am said CAAM. Overdue action was taken by the traffic controller when the aircraft failed to make position report over Bidor it said.

CAAM said it will conduct investigation over the crash and will share the details to the Ministry of Transport, both passengers where rescued.
