Philippines Keen To Collaborate With Penang In Semicon

The Philippines has showed interest in collaborating with Penang on areas such as manufacturing and semiconductor, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Malaysia Maria Angela A. Ponce expressed the country’s interest during a meeting the Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow.

“The Philippines, with its burgeoning semiconductor industry possesses immense potential. We hope to strengthen our collaborations and we look forward to working with the states in Malaysia. Penang is our priority,” she said.

Maria Angela added that the Philippines stands as a formidable force in both the manufacturing and household services sectors.

Penang Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow said the state government’s strategic initiatives, coupled with Malaysia’s investor-friendly policies, have fostered an environment conducive to business growth.

“The Philippines possesses the potential to complement Penang’s supply chain ecosystem,” he said.
