Telekom Malaysia announced that via its wholly owned subsidiary TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd, has signed the two contracts with the Ministry of Home Affairs during the previous Defence Services Asia (DSA) Exhibition & Conference 2024 and National Security (NATSEC) 2024.
Among them were the contract for a 6-month extension from the original 3 years contract, commenced in 2021 in relation to Managed Network Connectivity services valued at RM 71 million. The Letter of Award for this extension was accepted by TM on 27 March 2024.
While the second contract was for Managed ICT services valued at RM49.5 million for 2 years from 2022, ending in 2024. Which the Letter of Award was accepted by TM on 5 September 2022.
The telco said the contracts are in the ordinary course of its business, and not material to the Group, this was in response to a business weekly query on why TM has not shared much on the contracts signed recently with MOHA.
