AEON Bank (M) Berhad has launched its digital bank making it Malaysia’s first Islamic digital bank. it will now offer personal banking digital product services such as Savings Account-i, Savings Pots with customisable optimisation features, budgeting tools and promises to introduce more in the future.
The department chain store operator applied for the digital banking license and is among the three that have scheduled to introduce their services this year. Commenting on the launch, CEO Raja Teh Maimunah said” We are in the early phase of our product rollout and will continue to introduce more products and features for our personal banking customers. Over time,
we will expand our products and services to small businesses,”
The digital bank plans to use its existing strengths like the stores and its membership to drive adoption including promotions and reward programs.
