With the Malaysian AI market projected to reach USD 797.40 million in 2024, the urgency for efficient cooling practices is more pronounced than ever.
Trends in Liquid Cooling Technology
The liquid cooling market is on an upward trajectory, expected to reach USD 3 billion by 2026, driven by increased processing power needs in AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and other advanced technologies.
Vertiv is at the forefront of this shift, offering innovative liquid cooling systems tailored for high-density computing environments.
One standout solution is the Liebert XDU thermal management system, which circulates water through liquid-cooled server racks, efficiently rejecting heat while supporting a closed water loop technology that aligns with circular economy principles.

Ling emphasised the collaborative approach Vertiv takes in developing these solutions, partnering with industry leaders such as NVIDIA and academic institutions to tackle future cooling challenges. Their recent project under the COOLERCHIPS program secured a $5 million grant to explore combined liquid cooling technologies.

Ling highlighted that these technologies contribute to sustainability by minimizing energy consumption and improving cooling efficiency.
