Portcast, a Singapore-based provider of real-time transportation visibility and predictive analytics, has raised US$6.5 million in a Series A funding round. The round was led by Susquehanna Asia VC, with participation from Hearst Ventures, Signal Ventures, and existing investors including Wavemaker Partners, TMV, and Innoport.
The company’s investment in artificial intelligence (AI) technology aims to help clients navigate increasingly fragile global supply chains and mitigate disruptions. Portcast’s platform offers proactive exception management, delivering actionable insights and automated recommendations to improve productivity, reduce operational costs, and lower carbon emissions. Its data network integrates information from carriers, terminals, geolocation, and proprietary documents, all accessible via a single API and portal.
Portcast’s founder and CEO, Nidhi Gupta, stated, “Supply chain disruptions have become the norm, driving up costs for shippers and logistics service providers globally. It is no longer enough to monitor shipments; the priority now is to drive actions from visibility data through automated recommendations.” Gupta also highlighted the company’s expansion plans, noting an eagerness to grow its presence in Asia Pacific and Europe.
Richard Hsu from Susquehanna Asia VC praised Portcast’s ability to turn data into actionable insights for customers, setting a new benchmark in logistics decision-making.
The fresh capital will enable Portcast to accelerate product innovation, particularly in generative AI for improved risk management, transport planning, and invoice auditing. The company aims to strengthen its position in key global markets and deepen partnerships with technology providers, reinforcing its mission to make global trade more resilient through data-driven solutions.
