Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad announced a change in its Group’s organisation structure, with the appointments of Wan Razali Bin W Zulkifli and Wan Amir Hisyam Bin Wan Zakariah, as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer with immediate effect.
The group also announced the redesignation of Dato’ Sri Wan Zakariah Bin Haji Wan Muda, from Group Managing Director to Executive Vice Chairman effective on the same date.
Having served the position of GMD the group said Dato’ Sri Wan Zakariah is best positioned to assume the role of EVC of AZRB. Previously the role of EVC was held by the late Tan Sri Wan Zaki Bin Haji Wan Muda before he retired from full-time work on 1 July 2021 and redesignation to Group Advisor until his passing on 12 November 2024.
As CEO, Wan Razali brings with him over 12 years of engineering & construction, operational and management experience across several geographies. Wan Razali was formerly the Executive Director of Operations at the Group’s Engineering & Construction Division, after serving many roles within the division’s operation over a period of 7 years. Prior to joining Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd (“AZSB”) in 2018, he was working with an established French multinational construction company VINCI Construction Grands Projets (“VCGP”), a subsidiary of Vinci Construction, which specialises in design-build complex projects across the world.
COO Wan Amir was previously the Senior Manager, under the AZRB Concession Division and was actively involved in various concession project proposals and project execution within the AZRB group. Prior to joining AZRB, he served as a Geotechnical Engineer at AECOM, a multinational engineering consulting firm in Malaysia, and brings with him a wealth of design expertise. During his tenure as a Geotechnical Engineer at AECOM, he was involved mainly in the Rapid Transit System and MRT Line
2 projects, contributing significantly to the development and implementation of the projects.
