Bryan Ng, the founder of FunFun.inShop, didn’t start his entrepreneurial journey with a grand plan. His inspiration came from the stories of Shopee sellers he met while working at a logistics company. In 2021, during the Movement Control Order (MCO), Bryan took a leap of faith and decided to try his hand at e-commerce. With little more than a few products and a desire to explore, he uploaded them onto Shopee from his home.
To his surprise, the orders began to pour in, reaching up to 300 a day. “What started as a small experiment quickly grew into something much bigger,” Bryan shared. This unexpected success sparked his passion, and Bryan made the decision to reinvest his profits to scale up his business. His ability to stay in tune with market trends, combined with his customer-focused approach, transformed FunFun.inShop into a thriving venture.
By 2024, the business experienced an impressive 260% surge in sales, surpassing RM4 million in revenue. Bryan attributes this success to several factors, including his keen attention to competitive pricing and Shopee’s innovative features such as ads, livestreams, and campaigns. “These tools have been essential in helping us grow and remain competitive,” he explained.
One of the key platforms that Bryan credits for his success is Shopee Live. The live-streaming feature allowed him to engage directly with customers, showcase products in real-time, and foster lasting relationships. For Bryan, it was not just about selling products; it was about creating a community.
Reflecting on the journey, Bryan said, “This journey has changed my life and the lives of those we support. I’m grateful for the platform that made it all possible.” From a small home-based operation to a multi-million-ringgit business, Bryan’s story is a testament to the power of perseverance, innovation, and seizing the right opportunities.
