Synology has announced the PAS7700, an active-active NVMe all-flash storage solution designed to support enterprise-grade, mission-critical workloads with uninterrupted performance.
Equipped with dual controllers and 48 NVMe SSD bays within a 4U chassis, the PAS7700 can scale up to 1.65PB of raw capacity with seven additional expansion units. It supports NVMe-oF alongside a full range of file and block protocols, while memory is upgradeable to 2,048GB and networking supports up to 100GbE.
“PAS7700 is the culmination of Synology’s 25 years of engineering experience in data management and storage,” said Kenneth Hsu, Director of the System Group at Synology.
Built for reliability, the system features an active-active architecture that enables non-disruptive operations across all system layers. Its built-in 3-2-1-1 protection capabilities include immutable snapshots, replication, and offsite backup options.
Performance-wise, Synology reports the system can reach up to 2 million IOPS and 30GB/s sequential throughput, with support for enterprise applications like Synology Drive and Synology Office, tripling user concurrency over previous models.
The PAS7700 is expected to be available in the second half of 2025.
