Public Gold Secures Deal To Acquire 300 Kilograms Of Gold Bars From Kyrgyz Republic

Public Gold Marketing has inked an agreement with Kyrgyzaltyn, the largest domestic gold enterprise of the Kyrgyz Republic, to acquire gold bars, making Public Gold as the first Malaysian private company to secure such direct gold acquisition from the state-owned Kyrgyz entity.

This breakthrough agreement is particularly significant given the Kyrgyz Republic’s tightly controlled gold sector. Kyrgyzaltyn, initially founded as a State Concern in 1992 and now a joint-stock company with 100% state ownership, manages and oversees the country’s most significant gold assets. It is responsible for producing 80% of Kyrgyzstan’s gold and owns a refinery with Good Delivery LBMA status since 1999, undergoing stringent annual audits.

CEO Dato’ Wira Louis Ng said “This milestone is a testament to our leadership in the gold industry and the confidence placed in us by Kyrgyzstan’s key institutions. We are fully committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and excellence that have made this meaningful partnership a reality.”

Under the agreement, Public Gold is set to acquire a total of 300 kilograms of Au 999.9 gold bars from Kyrgyzaltyn by December 31, 2025, targeted for international markets. To kick-start this partnership, Public Gold had already completed its first acquisition of 50 kilograms of Au 999.9 gold bars from Kyrgyzaltyn in May 2025. T
