Malaysia will welcome six major international conferences in 2026 and 2027, generating an estimated RM77.5 million in economic impact and attracting over 6,150 delegates, the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) announced today.
The secured events cover aviation, global health security, clean energy technology and women’s health, aligning with national priorities such as the New Industrial Master Plan 2030. They include the Global Health Security Conference 2026, Energy Tech Summit Asia 2026 and the 85th FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences 2027.
KLCC General Manager John Burke said the wins are a “resounding vote of confidence in Malaysia’s capacity, connectivity and collaborative spirit,” adding that beyond the direct economic contribution, the events will foster partnerships and accelerate talent development.
The conferences are expected to drive visitor spending across accommodation, dining, transport and tourism sectors, further positioning Malaysia as a hub for knowledge-based, high-value international events.
