Malaysia’s most anticipated technology awards night reached new heights as the 25th PC.com Readers’ Choice Awards marked its silver jubilee under the theme “The Dawn of AI.” For the first time, the celebration also featured the BusinessToday Industry Choice Awards, uniting two prestigious recognitions under one glamorous Oscars-style evening.
Hosted at the Sunway Resort Hotel, the milestone event drew industry leaders, corporate executives, government officials and influencers, who gathered to celebrate innovation, excellence and the people driving Malaysia’s technology and business success stories. This year’s awards attracted over 250 nominations across 70 categories, spanning smartphones, telecommunications, gaming and AI-powered innovations. BusinessToday and PC.com also extend appreciation to sponsor partners Getha and Ogawa for their valued support of this year’s awards.
Voting for the PC.com Readers’ Choice Awards was conducted nationwide via online platforms, social media and roadshows, garnering participation from more than 36,000 readers. In total, 60 winners took home the coveted trophies, a symbol of credibility, innovation and consumer trust.
Among the evening’s highlights, Datuk Sri Mohd Mustafa Abdul Aziz was recognised with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his decades of service at MATRADE. At the same time, Professor Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib, CEO of IJN, was named Healthcare CEO of the Year. Entrepreneur Dato’ Sri Aliff Shukri was presented with the Best Entrepreneur in Digital award, and Dato’ Calvin Chan Jian Chern clinched the F&B Entrepreneur of the Year title. The award night was also marked by opening remarks from Selva Rajan, Managing Editor of Reach Publishing and Adjunct Professor.
The awards night was made possible with the support of Sunway Resort, the official venue partner and sponsor, whose collaboration elevated the grandeur of the evening.
The celebration was not only about recognising brands but also about showcasing Malaysia’s innovative spirit. With AI taking centre stage, the awards underscored the nation’s growing digital ecosystem and the transformative role of technology in shaping the country’s future.
