Cape EMS Industry Session Sparks Collaboration On Malaysia’s Clean Energy Future

Cape EMS Bhd’s subsidiary, Cape Renewables Sdn Bhd, has ignited new collaboration among energy leaders and technology partners to accelerate Malaysia’s clean energy transition following a successful exclusive industry sharing session that identified new opportunities in battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar technologies and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.

Held at the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) Lounge in Mont’ Kiara, the session brought together key players from the energy and technology sectors to exchange insights, forge partnerships and chart practical pathways for accelerating the country’s shift toward a sustainable, low-carbon economy.

The event culminated in a shared commitment among participants to deepen collaboration in renewable energy innovation, expand industrial adoption of BESS and accelerate the rollout of EV charging solutions to support Malaysia’s growing electric mobility landscape.

MICCI President and Cape EMS Group CEO Christina Tee said the engagement session underscored the importance of industry-led dialogue in driving collective action.

“The outcome of this session is clear — collaboration between technology providers, manufacturers and policymakers is essential to scale Malaysia’s clean energy ambitions,” she said, adding that Cape Renewables is committed to being a catalyst for that transformation.

Among the key highlight from the session were the keynote address from the Honorary President of the Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies Callum Chen who highlighted how digitalisation and energy storage can reshape industrial energy efficiency and reduce long-term costs.

In the final segment, Cape Renewables showcased its AC EV charging solutions for residential and commercial applications, highlighting plans to expand access to charging infrastructure nationwide.

The discussions concluded with consensus among attendees that integrated renewable technologies — combining BESS, solar optimisation and EV infrastructure — represent the most effective way to achieve energy resilience and meet Malaysia’s sustainability targets.
