Former economy minister Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli will be join a protest that calls for action against Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Chief Commissioner Azam Baki.
The rally, scheduled to take place near Sogo Kuala Lumpur at 4pm on Feb 15, is being mobilised by electoral reform group Bersih and youth-led coalitions under the Sekretariat Tangkap Azam Baki banner.
The gathering aims to express public demands for accountability following allegations of abuse of power involving the MACC chief.
Rafizi, in a public statement posted on social media, urged Malaysians to participate, framing the protest as a grassroot stand against corruption.
He acknowledged the odds faced by ordinary citizens confronting powerful institutions but stressed that collective action remains critical.
“Even if we seem small, like a cat facing a giant, standing on the side of truth gives strength,” he said, encouraging first-time participants not to fear joining the assembly.
The protest is expected to draw civil society groups, activists and members of the public, reflecting growing pressure for institutional accountability and governance reforms.
