SIBS 2026 Introduces Three New Pillars To Strengthen Selangor’s Investment Ecosystem

The upcoming Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2026 will introduce three new industry-focused pillars as Selangor sharpens its strategy to attract high-value investments and strengthen its multi-sector economic ecosystem.

The summit, organised by Invest Selangor Berhad, is scheduled to take place from Oct 14 to 17, 2026 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, marking the event’s 10th anniversary since its launch in 2015.

SIBS 2026 will officially incorporate three new specialized pillars — Selangor Techsphere Summit, Selangor AI & Semiconductor Summit 2026, and the Selangor International Care Expo are aimed at expanding the summit’s scope beyond trade exhibitions to include emerging industries, talent development and inclusive economic growth.

Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade and Mobility Ng Sze Han said the introduction of the new segments reflects the state’s evolving economic priorities.
“SIBS 2026 represents ten years of building investor confidence. By integrating high-tech manufacturing, digital innovation and the social economy into a single platform, we reflect the full spectrum of Selangor’s economic strengths,” he said.

The Selangor Techsphere Summit, organised by the Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) in partnership with Deutsche Messe AG’s regional arm Hannover Fairs Asia Pacific, will focus on strengthening technical talent development and industrial innovation.
Another key highlight is the Selangor AI & Semiconductor Summit 2026, organised by the Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (SIDEC), which will spotlight developments in artificial intelligence, semiconductor manufacturing and other high-value digital industries.

Meanwhile, the Selangor International Care Expo, organised by Wanita Berdaya Selangor, will address the expanding care economy, with a focus on inclusive growth and opportunities within healthcare, social care services and related industries.

These new segments will complement the summit’s existing platforms such as the Selangor ASEAN Business Conference (SABC) and the Selangor Investment and Industrial Park Expo (SPARK).

Chief Executive Officer of Invest Selangor Dato’ Hasan Azhari Idris said the expansion of SIBS reflects Selangor’s efforts to remain competitive as regional supply chains and investment trends continue to evolve.

“With these new pillars, SIBS will not only showcase investment opportunities but also support the development of talent, technology and inclusive industries that are essential for sustainable economic growth,” he said.

The summit has grown significantly since its inception, with visitor participation rising from 4,316 in 2015 to a peak of 57,249 in 2023, while potential transaction values reached a record RM13.85 billion in 2024.

With the introduction of the new industry pillars, SIBS 2026 is expected to further strengthen Selangor’s role as a regional hub for innovation, investment and business collaboration.
