PM Congratulates Top SPM Performers After Stellar 2025 Results

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has congratulated top-performing students in the 2025 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examination, which recorded an overall improvement.

In a Facebook post today, Anwar commended candidates who achieved excellent results and urged them to press on with determination and confidence as they pursue higher education and contribute to nation-building anchored in knowledge, values and humanity.

He also reminded those who did not perform as expected not to lose heart, stressing that success is shaped by perseverance rather than a single outcome.

“The national education system is in place to support every step. The future is not determined by one result, but by the determination to keep moving forward and succeed,” he said.

The 2025 SPM recorded a better performance, with the National Average Grade (GPK) improving to 4.42 from 4.49 in 2024.

According to Director-General of Education Datuk Dr Mohd Azam Ahmad, a total of 13,779 candidates obtained straight As (A+, A and A-) across all subjects this year, marking a 3.55% increase from 13,827 candidates previously.
