Longchamp Gives Le Pliage A Monochrome Reset

Longchamp’s Le Pliage is getting a refresh, and this time the focus is firmly on simplicity. The brand has introduced two updated lines — Le Pliage One and Le Pliage Xtra — both built around a monochrome approach that strips the design back while sharpening its everyday appeal.

Le Pliage One stays closest to the original carryall but tightens everything up. The idea is simple: one icon, one concept, one colour. The bag is still lightweight and practical, but small design tweaks like longer handles and a slightly extended shape make it sit better on the body and easier to carry through the day.

The monochrome execution is what stands out here. Every part of the bag, from the recycled nylon canvas to the leather flap and hardware, is done in a single shade. The palette includes charcoal grey, beige, burgundy, black and lemon yellow, giving the familiar silhouette a cleaner, more defined look without changing its core identity.

Le Pliage One comes in three sizes — S, M and L — priced at SGD220, SG$235 and SG$255. The sizing ranges from compact to roomy, keeping it practical for different routines while remaining consistent in design.

Le Pliage Xtra takes a slightly different route, leaning more playful while keeping the same stripped-back logic. The standout piece is the M Shoulder Bag, which reworks the silhouette into a slim east–west shape. At 26 cm by 11 cm by 8.5 cm, it is compact but still built for daily essentials.

This version is made from soft cowhide leather and comes in eight monochrome shades. Alongside bold tones like Lime, Tundra and Wave, there are more neutral options, including Black, Paper and Turtledove, making it easy to match across different looks.

Taken together, both lines show how Longchamp is evolving Le Pliage without overhauling it.
