Herrera’s Spring 2026 Bags Come With A Personal Story

Carolina Herrera is putting the spotlight on the women behind the brand with its new Spring 2026 handbag collection. Rather than introducing a series of bags with abstract names, the House of Herrera has named each design after a muse, friend or family member who has played a role in shaping its world.

The collection brings together several new and returning silhouettes, including the Mimi top-handle bag, Luci shoulder bag, Pia, Consuelo clutch, Vega clutch and Karlita satin clutch.

While each style has its own identity, they are united by subtle references to Herrera’s signature elements, from polka-dot details and sculptural bows to sleek, curved silhouettes.

Among the standouts is the Mimi, named after Carolina Herrera’s mother-in-law, who was known for carrying compact box bags. The design updates that classic shape with a modern finish and a distinctive double-dot closure that references one of the brand’s most recognisable motifs.

The Luci takes a different approach. Named after the Herrera family nickname for Carolina Herrera, the shoulder bag is defined by clean lines and a minimalist shape, making it one of the collection’s most versatile everyday options.

Meanwhile, the Pia brings a younger energy to the line-up. Named after Carolina Herrera’s granddaughter, Olimpia Báez Herrera, the bag pairs soft leather construction with playful detailing, offering a relaxed alternative to more structured styles.

The Consuelo clutch draws inspiration from the folding fans once carried by socialite and style figure Consuelo Crespi, a close friend of Carolina Herrera. Rather than directly replicating the accessory, the design subtly references its shape, translating it into a modern evening bag.

For those looking for occasionwear, the Vega stands out with its curved half-moon silhouette. Inspired by the reflections of the fountains at Hacienda La Vega, the Herrera family home in Venezuela, the style is available in both satin and crystal-embellished versions.

Rounding out the collection is the Karlita, named after model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss. Here, Herrera’s signature bow is transformed into the defining feature of a sculptural satin clutch, giving one of the house’s best-known design codes a contemporary update.

With luxury brands increasingly looking inward to tell more authentic stories, Herrera’s Spring 2026 handbag collection feels less like a roll-out of new accessories and more like a tribute to the women who have influenced the house across generations.
