The spotlight will turn to Bukit Gambir on the night of June 22 as Pakatan Harapan (PH) prepares to unveil its candidates for the Johor state election, with coalition chairman and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim set to attend the announcement ceremony in Tangkak.
Anwar confirmed his attendance in a social media post, saying he will join PH leaders at the 8pm event at the Bukit Gambir Extreme Park field, where the coalition will introduce candidates vying for the Johor state poll.
He also urged the public to attend the gathering, calling it the “first step towards victory” for the coalition as campaigning begins to gather momentum.
The Election Commission has fixed July 11 as polling day for the Johor state election, with nomination day on June 27 and early voting set for July 7.
