Anwar Intensifies PH Campaign Push Across Northern Johor

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim today intensified Pakatan Harapan’s (PH) campaign for the Johor state election with a packed tour across eight constituencies in northern Johor aimed at boosting support for the coalition’s candidates and election machinery.

According to a Facebook post, Anwar’s campaign trail covers Layang-Layang, Senggarang, Semerah, Bukit Naning, Pemanis, Gambir, Serom and Palong Timur, all within the Buloh Kasap state constituency.

The day began at 8.55am with the PMX Santai Sarapan Bersama Masyarakat DUN Layang-Layang programme at Warung Pak Din in Kampung Sahri, followed by a meet-and-greet session in Senggarang at 10am.

He is also scheduled to attend a Kenduri Rakyat in Semerah at 11am before launching Bukit Naning’s volunteer machinery during a Temu Anwar session in Muar at 12.15pm.

In the afternoon, Anwar will join the Jelajah Harapan Felda Bersama PMX programme at Dataran Putra Palong Timur 2 at 3.10pm, before meeting residents in Pemanis at Kampung Jawa at 5pm.

The campaign continues into the evening with a meet-and-greet session in Gambir at 8pm, before concluding with the Jelajah Johor Ke Depan, Undi Harapan rally in Serom at 9pm.

The tour comes after Anwar completed seven campaign engagements yesterday as PH ramps up efforts entering the second week of campaigning.

For the July 11 state election, PH is contesting all 56 seats, comprising 20 candidates from PKR, 19 from Amanah and 17 from DAP. A total of 172 candidates are contesting the polls, with early voting scheduled for July 7.
