Pesona Metro Holdings Berhad (PMHB) has secured a RM247.5 million construction contract to undertake piling, basement, main building and external works for the proposed Setia Alam Medical Centre in Shah Alam.
The construction group said its wholly owned subsidiary, Pesona Metro Sdn Bhd, has accepted a Letter of Award from Setia Alam Medical Centre Sdn Bhd (SAMC) for the project.
SAMC is a subsidiary of Mega First Corporation Berhad and is responsible for the development and operation of the planned private medical centre.
The project involves the construction of a three-block private hospital development at Persiaran Setia Dagang, Setia Alam, Shah Alam.
Under the development plan, Block A will comprise a 15-storey hospital with supporting facilities and mechanical and electrical (M&E) infrastructure. Block B will house an eight-storey hospital, including car park facilities on the upper floors, while Block C will feature a hospital occupying the lower three floors, with parking facilities above. The project also includes a basement level for parking, M&E services and other supporting facilities, together with external works.
Construction is scheduled to commence on July 28, 2026, with completion targeted for January 28, 2029, giving the project a construction period of 30 months.
PMHB said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets throughout the construction period.
