Perodua Cuts Axia Price By Up To RM4,700

Perodua has cut the price of its Axia by up to RM4,700, with the revised prices taking effect immediately as the national carmaker passes operational savings on to customers.

The biggest reduction applies to the Axia 1.0G, which now starts at RM33,900 in Peninsular Malaysia compared with RM38,600 previously. In Sabah and Sarawak, the variant is priced at RM35,900, down from RM40,600.

The Axia 1.0X is now RM38,500 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM40,500 in East Malaysia, while the 1.0SE is priced at RM43,000 and RM45,000 respectively. The range-topping 1.0AV sees a smaller RM500 reduction to RM49,000 in Peninsular Malaysia and RM51,000 in East Malaysia.

Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said, “This price revision forms part of our ongoing efforts to ease the cost pressures currently faced by Malaysians.”

He added that the pricing change reflected efforts to improve operational effectiveness, which had also contributed to lower service costs and revised pricing for the QV-E and Battery as a Service offerings.

The company said Axia specifications and quality standards remain unchanged, with the savings coming entirely from process improvements and operational efficiencies developed with local suppliers and automotive ecosystem partners.

The revised prices exclude insurance costs.
