KIP REIT Trading Halted Following Placement Price Announcement

Trading in KIP Real Estate Investment Trust (KIP REIT) was temporarily halted on Tuesday morning following the announcement of the issue price for its proposed placement.

Bursa Malaysia said trading in securities relating to KIP REIT was suspended from 9am on 11 August 2026 and resumed at 10am the same day.

The temporary halt came after KIP REIT announced that its manager had fixed the issue price for the placement at RM0.815 per placement unit, following a bookbuilding exercise.

The placement price represents a 4% discount to KIP REIT’s five-day volume-weighted average market price (VWAP) of RM0.8486 up to 10 August 2026, the last trading day before the price-fixing date.

It also represents a 3% discount to the adjusted five-day VWAP of RM0.8404 after taking into account the income distribution of 0.82 sen per unit for the period from 1 July 2026 to 24 August 2026.

The placement forms part of KIP REIT’s broader corporate exercises, which also include a proposed acquisition.

The proposed placement is intended to support KIP REIT’s corporate exercises, with the placement agents comprising CIMB, Maybank and UOB Kay Hian.
