Unsubsidised petrol and diesel prices will fall from tomorrow, with RON97 dropping 20 sen per litre, RON95 down 15 sen and diesel 10 sen for the Aug 13 to 19 period.
The Ministry of Finance said RON97 will be priced at RM4.15 per litre, RON95 at RM3.62 and diesel at RM4.47.
The reductions follow lower global oil prices during the latest Automatic Pricing Mechanism calculation period, although renewed geopolitical tensions and uncertainty over the Strait of Hormuz could keep prices volatile.
Subsidised fuel prices remain unchanged, with eligible BUDI95 users paying RM1.99 per litre for RON95 and BUDI Diesel users paying RM2.10 for diesel.
The Government said it would continue protecting eligible consumers through targeted subsidies while urging Malaysians to use fuel prudently.
