All lanes of the North-South Expressway (NSE) at Km45.8 southbound from Simpang Renggam towards Sedenak have been temporarily closed as PLUS carries out recovery works following an accident.
PLUS said in an update on X at 8:57am that traffic had come to a standstill as all lanes were closed to facilitate the removal of the vehicles involved.
Earlier at 8.45am, PLUS said the right lane remained closed while the left and emergency lanes were still passable, although traffic was moving slowly.
The accident was first reported at 6:19am, with the right lane obstructed and motorists advised to drive carefully.
Separately, PLUS reported another accident at Km257.1 northbound between the tunnel and Kuala Kangsar at 6:44am.
The left lane was obstructed in that incident, although traffic remained smooth. Motorists were advised to exercise caution when passing through the area.
PLUS urged motorists to plan their journeys and take note of the latest traffic conditions.
