Bintulu Port Holdings Berhad recorded operating revenue of RM215.56 million for the second quarter ended 30 June 2026 (“Q2 FY2026”), representing an increase of 10.6% from RM194.82 million in the corresponding quarter last year.
The higher operating revenue performance was mainly attributable to stronger port services activities at Bintulu Port Sdn. Bhd., where revenue increased 18.9% to RM162.66 million from RM136.78 million in the corresponding quarter last year, driven by higher revenue
from the handling of LNG cargoes and vessel calls. Meanwhile, Biport Bulkers Sdn. Bhd. recorded a 9.1% increase in revenue to RM11.21 million compared with RM10.28 million in the corresponding quarter last year due to higher throughput on spot term activities.
Revenue from Samalaju Industrial Port Sdn. Bhd. decreased 12.7% to RM41.69 million from RM47.76 million, mainly due to lower project cargoes handled during the quarter.
The Group’s net profit for the quarter stood at RM29.66 million compared with RM34.74 million in the corresponding quarter last year. This was mainly due to increased operating expenditure, which rose 12.1% to RM187.05 million following higher repair and maintenance expenses and fuel expenses due to price hike. Earnings Per Share declined to 6.45 sen from 7.55 sen recorded in the corresponding quarter last year.
For the six-month period ended 30 June 2026, the Group posted profit after taxation of RM60.17 million compared to RM63.12 million same period last year, translating into Earnings Per Share of 13.08 sen.
The Group declared a second single tier interim dividend of three sen per share payable on 8th October 2026, making the total dividend declared to date of six (6.0) sen per share for the financial year 2026.
