Bursa Malaysia opened higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) gaining 4.49 points or 0.26% to 1,740.82 as buying interest lifted the broader market.
The index had moved between an early high of 1,745.61 and a low of 1,735.70 in the opening trade.
The broader market also remained positive, with the FBM70 rising 78.69 points or 0.44% to 18,147.93, while the FBMEMAS gained 40.06 points or 0.31% to 12,858.66.
The F4GBM added 3.48 points or 0.33% to 1,043.60 while the FBMSHA edged up 20.76 points or 0.16% to 12,650.12.
Among the most actively traded counters, NatGate rose 18 sen to RM1.67 with 380.96 million shares traded, making it the most active stock in early trade.
Nihsin gained 1.5 sen to 16 sen, while Zetrix added 0.5 sen to 66 sen. VS rose one sen to 23 sen and Asteel climbed 1.5 sen to nine sen.
MPI led the gainers, rising 60 sen to RM42.10, followed by PetDag which advanced 46 sen to RM20.46. Allianz gained 38 sen to RM22.08 while KGB added 12 sen to RM8.48.
On the losing side, KLK fell 70 sen to RM21.22, followed by BKawan which slipped 40 sen to RM20.60. BLDPLNT declined 36 sen to RM14.64, UtdPlant eased 32 sen to RM31.80 while TaAnn dropped 18 sen to RM6.11.
