Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will deliver his National Day address at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre (PICC) tomorrow afternoon, with several initiatives concerning issues affecting the people expected to be announced.
In a social media post today, Anwar said the address would outline several important measures touching on the concerns and daily lives of Malaysians.
The address will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the struggles and sacrifices of previous generations who fought for the country’s independence, while highlighting the responsibility of the present generation to preserve and give meaning to it.
Anwar said the address would be broadcast live through local media channels.
As Malaysia marks nearly seven decades of independence, he called on Malaysians to strengthen the spirit of unity and reject incitement of racial and religious hatred to safeguard national peace and the well-being of the people.
