Systech Bhd returned to the black in the first quarter of FY27 (FY27), posting RM1.45 million in profit attributable to owners compared to a RM0.51 million loss a year earlier, supported by stronger contributions from its artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure and computing solutions business.
Revenue from continuing operations surged 906% year-on-year to RM152.04 million from RM15.11 million, driven mainly by newly secured projects.
Gross profit increased 51% to RM3.74 million from RM2.48 million, reflecting the broader revenue base from the group’s Corporate Solutions segment.
Profitability nevertheless improved, supported by sales of other business solutions, favourable foreign exchange movements and the absence of receivables write-offs recorded in the previous quarter.
Managing Director Dr Low Min Yew said the return to profitability reflected progress in scaling Systech’s Corporate Solutions business, particularly across AI infrastructure and computing solutions.
The group will continue expanding its capabilities across AI, enterprise resource planning, Internet of Things and human capital management, while pursuing additional opportunities in both the public and private sectors.
Systech remains cautiously optimistic that its broader digital solutions portfolio and improved project execution will support its operational and financial performance going forward.
