Singapore equities opened slightly higher on Wednesday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) rising 11 points, or 0.19%, to 5,721.37 as investors weighed regional market developments.
As at 9:09am, trading volume stood at 132.26 million securities with a total value of S$194.58 million. Market breadth was slightly negative, with 85 advancers against 101 decliners.
Among key counters, DBS rose 35 cents, or 0.46%, to S$77.26, while YZJ Shipbuilding gained to S$4.77.
OCBC Bank stood at S$31.40, UOB at S$41.34, Singtel at S$4.49 and SGX at S$24.91.
In the REIT segment, Keppel DC REIT fell three cents, or 1.36%, to S$2.17. CapLand Ascendas REIT stood at S$2.41, CapLand Integrated Commercial Trust at S$2.35 and Keppel REIT at S$0.86.
Frasers Centrepoint Trust was at S$2.13, while Lendlease REIT traded at S$0.55.
In derivatives, total volume stood at 17.44 thousand contracts as at 8:58am.
The September 2026 FTSE China A50 Index Futures stood at 14,728 points, while September Nikkei 225 Index Futures traded at 64,625 points. SGX FTSE Taiwan Index Futures stood at 4,088.50 points and MSCI Singapore Index Futures at 537.10 points.
In foreign exchange futures, September 2026 INR/USD Futures stood at 105.090, with volume of 359 contracts. USD/CNH Futures traded at 6.7178, KRW/USD Futures at 0.7296 and USD/SGD Futures at 1.2723.
