Axwell, Martin Garrix To Headline F1 Concert In Sepang This October

Grammy-nominated DJ, artist and music producer Axwell is set to perform live at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) on Oct 3, adding another international act to the entertainment line-up accompanying the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2026 in Malaysia.

Axwell, best known as a founding member of electronic music group Swedish House Mafia and duo Axwell Λ Ingrosso, will perform during the race weekend, according to a joint statement by Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) and SIC.

His appearance adds to an entertainment programme that will also feature multi-platinum-selling DJ and producer Martin Garrix, who has been confirmed as the headline act for the post-race concert on Oct 4.

BIC and SIC said race-weekend ticket holders who purchase their tickets before midnight tomorrow will be eligible for an opportunity to upgrade their tickets to attend the concerts.

Beginning Wednesday, eligible ticket holders can purchase an upgrade priced at US$50 (RM202.28) per person for Axwell’s concert, while an upgrade for the Martin Garrix concert will cost US$100 (RM404.56) per person.

Separate upgrades will be required for each concert.

The organisers said all concert ticket upgrades are subject to availability and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis due to the limited capacity of the concert venue.

Details on the upgrade process will be sent directly to eligible race-weekend ticket holders via email.

Fans seeking to secure access to the concert upgrades have been encouraged to purchase their race-weekend tickets before the midnight deadline through BIC’s website.

The addition of Axwell and Garrix brings two major names in international electronic dance music to Sepang, extending the Formula 1 weekend beyond the on-track action with back-to-back performances on Oct 3 and Oct 4.
