PROTON today announced an expanded S70 model range with the addition of two new variants powered by its i- GT 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine at a price position estimated to be below RM60,000.
“The Proton S70 has always been about giving Malaysians an elevated driving experience with the space, comfort and features they value in everyday driving. The introduction of the new variants expands that proposition to customers who are looking for an affordable yet well-equipped sedan that offers generous cabin space and a comfortable driving experience. At the same time, we have ensured that key features are available across the range, giving customers greater choice without compromising on what matters in everyday driving,” said Dato’ Abdul Rashid Musa, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, PROTON.
“The expanded PROTON S70 range, comprising the Lite and Prime variants, is designed around a different driving experience — one that is smooth and quiet, while retaining the space, practicality and driving character that define the Proton S70.”
Both variants are powered by an i-GT 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), delivering an easy-going driving experience suited to daily commuting, family journeys and customers looking for a practical step into the Proton S70 family.
Bookings for the PROTON S70 Lite and Prime variants are now open at all authorised PROTON outlets nationwide, with estimated prices below RM60,000. Final pricing to be announced at the official launch.
