Singapore stocks opened lower on Monday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) falling 28.41 points or 0.49% to 5,773.55 as of 9:09am.
Trading activity saw 165.65 million shares changing hands with a total value of S$199.88 million. There were 110 advancers against 95 decliners.
Among the STI counters, DBS fell S$0.55 or 0.70% to S$78.10, while OCBC was at S$31.90 and UOB stood at S$41.75.
YZJ Shipbuilding was trading at S$4.94, while Singtel was at S$4.52. IX Biopharma and Addvalue Technologies were at S$0.55 and S$0.195 respectively.
The broader REIT segment was mixed, with Keppel DC REIT gaining S$0.03 or 1.37% to S$2.22. CapLand Ascendas REIT was at S$2.40, CapLand Integrated Commercial Trust at S$2.36 and Mapletree Logistics Trust at S$1.16.
In the derivatives market, FTSE China A50 Index Futures for September 2026 stood at 14,715 points as of 9am, with 786 contracts traded.
Nikkei 225 Index Futures were at 66,155 points, while SGX FTSE Taiwan Index Futures stood at 4,164.75 points.
