Shares in Kuala Lumpur Kepong Bhd (KLK) fell in late morning trading, with the plantation counter down 30 sen or 1.31% to RM22.60 as of 11.57 am.
The stock opened at RM22.90, matching its intraday high, before slipping to a low of RM22.42. It was last traded at RM22.60, compared with its previous close of RM22.90.
A total of 160,000 shares changed hands by the time of writing, based on Bursa Malaysia data, with buying volume at 3,000 shares against selling volume of 83,000 shares.
The counter had a last done price of RM22.60, with the bid at RM22.50 and the offer at RM22.60.
The movement comes a day after KLK announced the appointment of Lee Jia Zhang as its Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 October 2026.
Lee, currently KLK’s Chief Operating Officer, will take over the CEO role as part of the group’s leadership transition. He has been with KLK since 2010 and has held various leadership positions across its oleochemical and corporate divisions.
He was appointed to the KLK board as Executive Director in May 2018 and became COO in October 2021.
