Singapore stocks opened lower on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) falling 8.53 points, or 0.15%, to 5,709.49 as investors remained cautious amid ongoing geopolitical and market concerns.
As at 9:06am, trading volume stood at 49.21 million shares with a total value of S$97.52 million. There were 70 gainers against 83 decliners.
Among the STI constituents, DBS rose 20 cents, or 0.26%, to S$77.86 while OCBC held at S$31.80. United Overseas Bank was also unchanged at S$42.10.
SGX shares edged higher by S$0.03 to S$22.73, while Yangzijiang Shipbuilding gained S$0.05 to S$5.10.
Seatrium slipped S$0.01 to S$2.12 while Singapore Airlines was unchanged at S$6.60.
In the REIT segment, Keppel DC REIT fell one cent, or 0.47%, to S$2.13. ParkwayLife REIT was unchanged at S$3.98, while CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust gained one cent to S$2.29.
Frasers Centrepoint Trust rose one cent to S$2.09, while Mapletree PanAsia Commercial Trust and Starhill Global REIT were unchanged at S$1.19 and S$0.515 respectively. Suntec REIT also held at S$1.38.
