Trina Vega Returns As Hollywood Arts Heads To Netflix

The Victorious universe is getting a new chapter. Hollywood Arts, a spin-off centred on Trina Vega, will premiere on Netflix on Oct 15, with Daniella Monet returning to the role.

The series follows Trina after her time as a student at Hollywood Arts High School. Her acting career has not gone as planned. She now returns to the school as a substitute teacher, where she takes on a class of aspiring performers.

Monet is joined by a new group of students played by Alyssa Miles, Emmy Liu-Wang, Peyton Jackson, Erika Swayze and Martin Kamm. Kira Kosarin, Sofie Dossi and Taylen Biggs are also part of the cast.

The new series will also bring back some familiar faces. Yvette Nicole Brown returns as Principal Helen, while Rex, Robbie Shapiro’s ventriloquist dummy, is also set to appear.

Behind the scenes, Hollywood Arts reunites several members of the original Victorious team. Jake Farrow, who worked on the Nickelodeon series and iCarly, joins Samantha Martin as showrunner, writer and executive producer. Monet also serves as an executive producer.

Jonathan Judge directs and executive produces the pilot. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios for Netflix.

Victorious originally ran for four seasons from 2010 to 2013. The series starred Victoria Justice, Ariana Grande, Avan Jogia, Elizabeth Gillies, Leon Thomas III and Monet.
