Golden Destinations Gets Shareholder Nod For RM45 Million HQ Acquisition

Golden Destinations Group Bhd has secured shareholder approval for its proposed RM45 million acquisition of properties at Menara Liberty, paving the way for the group to establish a new centralised headquarters.

The outbound travel company said shareholders approved both ordinary resolutions tabled at its EGM, allowing its wholly owned subsidiary, ICE Holidays Sdn Bhd, to proceed with the acquisitions.

The proposed deal comprises two commercial parcels and nine office parcels within Menara Liberty for RM42.75 million, as well as the adjoining two-storey commercial building, Menara Liberty Annex, for RM2.25 million.

ICE Holidays entered into conditional sale and purchase agreements with Liberty on June 11, 2026. Following the shareholder approval, the company can proceed towards completing the transactions, subject to remaining approvals and conditions.

Golden Destinations Managing Director Mita Lim said the new headquarters will provide the company with a stronger platform to support the continued growth of its business, enhance its operational capabilities and accommodate the company’s longer-term expansion.

Lim added that the acquisitions reflected the company’s focus on disciplined capital deployment, with the new premises expected to provide additional infrastructure and capacity as the business scales.

Beyond the headquarters move, Lim shared that Golden Destinations is pursuing several post-listing growth initiatives, including strengthening its marketing presence, expanding into East Malaysia and Singapore, and upgrading its IT infrastructure and workforce capabilities.

The company, which has nearly three decades of experience in the travel industry, operates in Malaysia’s outbound travel segment through an established nationwide travel agent network.
