Shares of Eco World Development Group Bhd (EcoWorld) rose 5 sen or 2.58% to RM1.99 at 11am on Friday, extending gains after the property developer surpassed RM5 billion in sales for the first time.
The counter opened at RM1.95, matching its intraday low, before climbing to RM1.99. Some 506,200 shares changed hands, with buying interest keeping the stock above its previous close of RM1.94.
The latest share price move came after EcoWorld reported that sales had reached approximately RM5.06 billion, exceeding its original FY2026 target of RM4 billion.
The milestone was driven by RM4.05 billion in sales recorded as at Aug 31, followed by a RM1.01 billion agreement with Tera Data Centers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
The developer also reported a 20% year-on-year increase in third-quarter profit after tax to RM120.8 million, while nine-month profit rose 36% to RM424.3 million.
Revenue and gross profit for the quarter increased 28% and 19% respectively, with gross profit margin remaining healthy at 27.2%.
Residential properties contributed RM2.3 billion or 57% of sales as at Aug 31, while the Eco Townships division generated RM1.60 billion.
EcoWorld said future revenue stood at RM5.01 billion, providing visibility for earnings and cash flow as its projects progress.
The group also declared a third interim dividend of two sen per share, bringing total dividends declared for FY2026 to six sen.
