Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP) have reduced their stakes in Velesto Energy Bhd through separate share disposals, according to filings spotted by BusinessToday.
AmanahRaya Trustees Bhd, as trustee for ASB, disposed of 12.07 million Velesto shares on Sept 25, 2026.
Following the transaction, ASB’s direct holding in the offshore drilling services group stood at 2.623 billion shares, representing 31.731% of Velesto’s issued shares.
The filing stated that the change arose from a sale of shares but did not disclose the transaction price or value.
Separately, KWAP disposed of 5.91 million Velesto shares on Sept 28 through an open-market transaction undertaken by its fund manager.
Following the disposal, KWAP’s indirect or deemed interest stood at 468.75 million shares, equivalent to 5.671% of Velesto.
Both institutional investors remain substantial shareholders of the company following the transactions.
Share price of Velesto has dropped more than 40% over the last six month, the stock is currently trading at 0.20.
